Absolutely, In sha Allah! Online schooling offers a focused learning environment with fewer distractions and less social pressure, allowing children to concentrate better on their tasks compared to a traditional classroom setting.
That said, parental involvement is key to ensuring your child thrives.
Regularly checking on their progress and encouraging consistent participation can help them reach their full potential in the online school environment.
This is only something you and your child can figure out as its very dependent on the child’s character and the other alternatives. Some children do struggle with learning online and others thrive but الحمد لله we offer a free 2 day trial for those in doubt!
At Al-Hikmah Kids Academy, we follow the British National Curriculum, ensuring a high standard of education that is recognized internationally. Moreover, we integrate this curriculum with Islamic principles, ensuring that all content aligns with our Islamic ethos.
We carefully review and adapt content to ensure it reflects Islamic values, providing your child with a balanced education that prepares them for success both in this life and the Hereafter (aakhirah).
Yes, students will have homework typically once a week per subject. All homework and assignments are posted on our LMS app and announced in class.

Yes, Al-Hikmah Kids Academy maintains a high standard of classroom adab (etiquette) to create an optimal learning environment.
We take classroom rules very seriously and expect parents to ensure their children understand and adhere to them before starting the school.
Key expectations include:
- Respect for Teachers: Students must show respect for their teachers at all times, including listening attentively and following instructions without disruption.
- Raise Hand to Speak: Students are encouraged to raise their hand if they have a question or wish to contribute to the discussion.
- No Phone Usage: The use of phones during class is strictly prohibited. We strongly encourage parents to support this rule by not allowing their children access to their phones during class sessions.
These are some of the rules to ensure a respectful and productive learning atmosphere for all students and staff. We believe that by maintaining these standards, we can provide the most effective educational experience possible at Al-Hikmah Kids Academy.
Yes, to ensure a respectful and focused online learning environment. From Year 3 onward, girls must wear a hijab, any color. All students should dress modestly and avoid clothing with faces or distracting graphics.

At Al-Hikmah Kids Academy, we prepare secondary students for both GCSE and IGCSE examinations.
However, we are not an accredited exam centre. This means that parents need to register their children for the GCSE/IGCSE exams at an approved exam centre.
To help with this, we suggest looking into these exam boards that support private candidates:
AQA – Offers GCSEs for private candidates.
https://www.aqa.org.uk/student-and-parent-support/private-candidates
Pearson Edexcel – Offers GCSEs and International GCSEs (IGCSEs), widely accepted in the UK and internationally.
https://qualifications.pearson.com/en/support/support-topics/registration-and-certification/entering-private-candidates.html
Cambridge International (CAIE) – Well-known for IGCSEs and very suitable for homeschoolers.
https://www.cambridgeinternational.org/why-choose-us/find-a-cambridge-school/
OCR – Offers a range of GCSEs, with limited subjects available to private candidates.
https://www.ocr.org.uk/students/private-candidates/
Parents are advised to begin this process well in advance of the exam dates, as spaces at exam centres may be limited. If you need help with this, our team is happy to provide guidance.
