IGCSEs as a private candidate: how exam entry works
How online students sit Cambridge IGCSE exams, what the school provides, and what families arrange.
Students who learn online sit their IGCSE exams as private candidates at an approved exam centre near them.
Which exams do Year 11 students take?
Year 11 is the IGCSE exam year. Students follow Cambridge IGCSE courses in Arabic, English Language, Maths, Double Science, Computer Science and Business Studies.
What the school provides
Live teaching across Years 10 and 11. Plus and Premium families also have regular IGCSE exam preparation sessions: exam technique, answering strategies, guided practice and past paper review.
What families arrange
Parents book the exams at an approved exam centre as a private candidate and pay the centre’s exam fees, which are not included in school fees. Exam centres can have limited places for private candidates, so please start early.
